Writing Entry

Ellie Ment (Colored).png

The Challenge:

After reading Ellie Ment and the Material Matter over the summer vacation/holidays, students are to write a short story (500–1,500 words) inspired by one of these three characters from the book:

1

Ellie Ment
Science & Discovery

The story should explore science and/or experiments as Ellie investigates the world around her. Feel free to have her use her Bracers, but it’s not required.

2

Michael Upperton
Upcycling Fun

Upcycle Michael loves to turn everyday junk into brilliant inventions – if you choose to do Michael’s story, let your imagination run wild with some and eco-creativity and upcycling.

3

Stefon Back
Historical Adventure

Step on back with Stefon Back (although it’s not time travel, remember!) as he uncovers a historical person, or event from the past.

+ Students also submit a 1-minute video explaining what inspired their story.
